The Journey Begins

Rock Solid Christian Academy Kindergarten to 5th Grade

In 2018, Rock Solid added grades Kindergarten to 5th to our thriving academic program. Our elementary students attend classes at RSCA on Tuesdays and Thursdays and complete the remainder of their studies in their satellite classrooms at home the remainder of the week. Using a Taxi binder system, teachers plan work for 2-3 days at home under the direction of parents. While students will have an average of 3-4 hours of work to complete at home, there is still plenty of time for following your student’s passion or exploring outside activities. Utilizing the benefits of our hybrid model, we encourage you to develop family rituals like poetry teatimes, library visits, and read aloud. Our University-Model is the best of homeschooling combined with the structure and support of a traditional private school.

Christ-centered

At school, our expert teachers lead students in their love of learning through the teaching of core curriculum, but more importantly, disciple students in their walk with Jesus through a Christ-centered education and daily character development. Bi-weekly chapel times with our Chaplain and a scripture memory program help root our students in God’s truth. Our number one mission is to disciple character witnesses of Christ for the next generation.

Friday Discovery Days

Discovery Days are an optional add-on program where students explore such subjects as science, music, art, Spanish, etc. Families may register on a monthly basis when it works for your schedule. Contact our office for details!

Curriculum

Our small class sizes (Max 12:1 student/teacher ratio) mean that our teachers can easily differentiate work to meet the needs of our students. By utilizing stations, teachers meet with students based on their skill level. You can find our current curriculum here (link to a PDF).
